This piece was born in the middle of resistance. I was exhausted, heavy with hormonal waves, moving through sadness and fatigue while a deadline shadowed over me. I felt a small burst of energy and I chose to step into it.
What began as struggle became release. I pushed past the mental fog and for a moment, something opened. I moved freely and fully. The canvas met me there.
